By 3 a.m., the crowd had thinned considerably, but Rashida Jones, Fred Arminsen, John Legend, Andy Samberg, Bradley Cooper, Steve Buscemi, Jason Sudekis, and friends remained sitting in a circle on poolside couches. Seth Meyers bounded down the stone steps and greeted the group, which burst into applause upon his arrival. ...

A gaggle of Hollywood celebs sipped champagne and enjoyed a rooftop view of the White House at the New Yorker cocktail party at the W Hotel POV roof terrace and lounge on Friday night. Spotted chatting in the corner: Actors Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Sean Penn.

Comedian Seth Meyers, who also showed up at Chris Dodd’s MPAA reception, brought his family to the party, which was hosted by New Yorker editor David Remnick.

Also in attendance were actor Jon Hamm, actress Rashida Jones, directors Ethan Coen and Joel Coen, actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson, actress Kerry Washington, Olympian Shaun White, actress Rosario Dawson, actress Mira Sorvino, musician David Byrne, director Tom Hooper and designer Tara Subkoff, and Craigslist founder Craig Newmark.

Beltway types in the crowd included Senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett, Director of Communications Dan Pfeiffer, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, Director of Speechwriting Jon Favreau, Director of Domestic Policy Melody Barnes, Labor Secretary Hilda Solis and Rep. Anthony Weiner. ... Later, many of the Hollywood types ended up at the Passenger, a favorite watering hole for hipsters and cocktail connoisseurs. We counted [Bradley] Cooper, [Sean] Penn, [Zach] Galifianakis and [Jon] Hamm, who were joined by "Parks and Recreation's" Rashida Jones and the White House's Tommy Vietor.
