Activism: Peace Games

Rashida sits on the Board of Directors for Peace Games, a nonprofit organization based in Boston, Massachusetts. This is her fifth year in the position.

Peace Games' mission is to empower students to create their own safe classrooms and communities by forming partnerships with elementary schools, families, and young adult volunteers.
Peace Games works to teach children how to cooperate, communicate, and resolve conflicts without fighting by initiating a 3 year program for students in grades K-8. Peace Games currently serves 17 schools throughout Boston, New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles.

On May 22, 2007 Rashida and actor Donal Logue were the emcees of Peace Rocks Boston, a fundraising event and concert. Her glasses are so geeky and cute, I ♥ them.
