Rashida herself told New York magazine the rumor isn't true - and joked about the age difference. It did seem pretty unlikely, her being 8 years older and all.

NY: What is it like to know that when you do date someone, it can be a very public thing where paparazzi take your photo or it's discussed online on gossip blogs?
RJ: Honestly, for me, I try to keep really private. The outcome of that, and it's kind of funny, is that everybody I'm talked about dating is someone I'm not actually dating, so I don't really care. ...

NY: At least you've been falsely linked to handsome men. There's that.
RJ: By the way, the last fake boyfriend I had was 26. Like, cougar town!

NY: It was Garrett Hedlund, right?
RJ: Right, Garrett Hedlund, who's also my friend. I can call him and we can laugh about it, but also, I look awesome. [Laughs.]

On a related note, she also cleared up another long-standing rumor: she never dated Seth Meyers, despite what her Wikipedia entry might say. It was all based on this appearance together in 2005. [Disappointed about this one, to be honest. They look cute together!]

RJ: Like Seth Meyers has been my friend for ten years, and it's on my Wikipedia page that we dated because we went to one thing together and took a picture. I think it's funny and hilarious and I love him because he's my friend, but we never dated. So, my advice is to just be seen with people you're not dating, and stay at home with people you are dating.

"FYI he has done some radio interviews and debunked the rumor. Garrett and Rashida are not dating - they have known each other for years and were simply catching up at a NYE party like friends do. Garrett says they both just laughed and joked about the Just Jared story (like "What? Wow. But we should totally fake date now" and "Yeah, you can take me to fake dinner and a fake movie") and decided to ignore it."

Rumors, rumors...
So she hasn't been linked to anyone in over a year; not since Jon 'The Speechwriter' Favreau (so dreamy), that one time to John Mayer (such a douchebag, and was quickly denied) and then Favreau again. Now it's to the just-turned-26 year old guy from Tron and Country Strong, Garrett Hedlund.

Not much of a sighting and seems pretty unlikely, not least because she is almost 9 years older than him, but stranger things have happened. Since Rashida is a classy chick and doesn't like to discuss her private life wait and see on this one.

Parks & Recreation star Rashida Jones and her current beau, President Obama’s speechwriter Jon Favreau, were spotted in the lobby of the Charleston, Jon’s swanky apartment building in Arlington, Virginia.* [see edit]

Rashida, 33, and Jon, 28, have been dating for at least several months. Jon attended the College of the Holy Cross, graduating as valedictorian. Rashida earned degrees in religion and philosophy at Harvard University.

This Jon Favreau is not to be confused with Rashida’s I Love You Man co star Jon Favreau, who also directed Iron Man.

Season 2 of Parks & Recreation will premiere @ 8:30 PM ET/PT on Thursday, September 17 on NBC.

Rashida Jones Doesn't Throw John Krasinski Under A Bus
So, the NY Daily News tried to pull a fast one on Rashida Jones and get her to throw ex-boyfriend John Krasinski under a bus. Rashida declined to do so because she is all class. Wow, that does sound a little kiss-ass-ish doesn't it? Oh, well, everyone knows I love her so it shouldn't come as a surprise. The Daily News caught up with er at Shakespeare In The Park and asked her who was the better kisser, Paul Rudd as her co-star or John Krasinski in real life? I know they asked the question in hopes that she would throw John under a bus. At least I hope that is why they asked it and not because the reporter couldn't come up with anything else. It is a pretty high school type question.

Add to this the fact she is dating a guy right now and it becomes even more awkward. I haven't checked, but I wouldn't be surprised if he was there with her that night. So, right there in front of the guy you are currently dating you get asked if your ex-boyfriend is a great kisser or not. That is a class move Daily News. For the record she did say that Paul Rudd was the better kisser and that she likes John just fine it just wasn't as good as Paul.

So, I think most of you would also probably agree with Rashida, at least in the who would you rather part of the hypothetical.

Folks are trying to figure out what's really going on between Rashida Jones of NBC's "Parks & Recreation" and President Obama's 28-year-old heartthrob speechwriter Jon Favreau.

(Not this Jon Favreau, but this one.)

The two have been spending a substantial amount of time together since at least May 8, when "a tipster" for the Web site BestWeekEverTV supposedly spotted them hanging out at a bar near Georgetown and "attached at the hip all evening, until they starting making out with each other at the bar."

The next day, the actress was Favreau's date at the White House Correspondents' Dinner.

The pairing comes on the heels of Jones' breakup with actor John Krasinski, who played her boyfriend during a stint on NBC's "The Office" (He's now dating "The Devil Wears Prada" actress Emily Blunt.); and Favreau's apparent split with Maxim model Ali Campoverdi.

“For Rashida, her romance with Jon couldn’t have come at a better time," said another unnamed source to the National Enquirer. "She was miserable after breaking up with John. And it really hurt for her to see him dive into a love affair with Emily soon afterward.”

About a month after their WHCD date, Politico.com's Patrick Gavin reported that Jones and Favreau attended the June 1 launch party for Richard Wolffe's Obama book "Renegade" at Cafe Atlantico.

Today (June 14), People magazine posted a "Rashideau" update on its Web site quoting still another "unnamed source" who said the two are indeed an item, but "it's not serious."

Jones is the 33-year-old daughter of music mogul Quincy Jones and actress Peggy Lipton, best known for her role as Julie Barnes on TV's "The Mod Squad" (1968-1873). She most recently starred on the big screen in "I Love You Man."

In 2009, Favreau became the second youngest person ever to become the White House Director of Speechwriting. After graduating from the College of the Holy Cross as valedictorian, he was hired to collect talk radio news clips for John Kerry's Presidential campaign in 2004. There, the Winchester, Mass. native was eventually promoted to the role of Deputy Speechwriter. In 2005, he was hired as a speechwriter for then-Sen. Barack Obama on a referral from Robert Gibbs. When Obama decided to run for President, Favreau was right there on the campaign trail, putting himself in position for his historic appointment to the White House last November.

/Film: Jake Kasdan to Direct Bad Teacher
The Hollywood Reporter are reporting (from Hollywood, no less) that Jake Kasdan has signed on to direct Bad Teacher. The screenplay charted on the 2008 Blacklist and was penned by Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg, who also wrote the imminent Year One and are at work on the pending draft of Ghostbusters 3.

The Bad Teacher screenplay revolves around Elizabeth Halsey, a teacher with a cussin’ problem (er… no comment) who ends up in a bitter rivalry with her squeaky-clean colleague Amy Squirrel. Elizabeth is the sort of girl who wakes up at 3.40 in the afternoon, looks for breakfast in the fridge but finds only packets of ketchup, mustard and soy sauce so turns to her bong instead. I’m expecting that Rashida Jones will be front of the line for the role and that she’ll make hay with the truly hilarious bad behavior laid out on the page.

The 33-year-old actress - now on the new NBC comedy “Parks and Recreation” - and Favreau, 27, had their official Beltway “coming out” as a couple at the recent White House Correspondents Dinner in D.C.

The pair was later scene cuddling in the wee hours of the morning at an intimate after-party, and they’ve also been spotted getting cozy on a couch at a trendy Georgetown-area bar.

“Rashida is just crazy about Jon, said the source. “She not only finds him handsome, but smart and witty.”

Rashida, the daughter of legendary music producer Quincy Jones, first met Jon through mutual friends at a political fundraising function, but he was dating someone else at the time, says the friend.

“So when a pal clued her in that he’d recently broken up with his girlfriend, Rashida made her move.”

Now the couple is trying to make a long-distance relationship work - he works in Washington, D.C. and she’s based in Hollywood.

A tipster has just informed us of a hot new celebrity power couple, seen getting close this weekend in Washington D.C.: Parks and Recreations actress Rashida Jones was spotted drinking Friday night with D.C.’s hottest bachelor of the moment, Jon Favreau. No, not the beefy actor seen in your Favreau-te movie of all-time, Rudy, but rather the studly 27-year-old Director of Speechwriting for President Barack Obama. Yes, that one. For girls who like guys that look good on paper, his Wiki page is basically pornography. Also? He’s hot.

Here’s how it went down: Rashida and Jon were hanging out in an exclusive bar in the Georgetown area (yes, D.C. does have “exclusive places”, unless you’re a WASP, as then the world is your nest.) Our tipster reports that the two were attached at the hip all evening, until they starting making out with each other at the bar. Eventually, they left with one another. We can only assume they did the inevitable… shake hands (hands = genitals.)

The next night, Rashida was spotted looking radiant* (*bc she probs had ess) at the White House Correspondents dinner, while her latest boy toy was likely busy backstage writing one liners for the POTUS. "Favreau's flame: Speaking of Jon Favreau, we may be seeing our next "PoliWood" power couple in Favreau and Rashida Jones, as we spotted them being more than just friends.

The speechwriter and the actress arrived together Saturday night, marking the second time this weekend the twosome showed up to an event together. That’s not enough to claim them as a couple, but after they walked the red carpet (separately) Favreau placed his hand on her backside and led her through the crowd.

Seeing that she didn’t slap him, we think they got something going on. Stay tuned."

Page Six Magazine Ruins Valentine's Day with Homewrecking
Since it's Valentine's Day and everything, both Time Out: New York and Page Six Magazine are doing a top 50-150 eligible bachelors/bachelorette list so you can fantasize about boning a celebrity while you break out your Hitachi magic wand for the umpteenth time. The only problem about these guy's list? It includes a lot of not-so-single gents.

Fred Armisen is engaged to Elisabeth Moss, which Page Six notes, but then includes him anyway? Nothing is mentioned about Andy Samberg's relationship with Joanna Newsom, so the only "legitimately" single person in that pack is Seth Meyers, and if you think you're going to be his rebound from Rashida Jones, you crazy.
